Linstead man among 2 killed in crash
April 16, 2019A male police officer and a woman died today in a pre-dawn crash on Dam Head main road in St Catherine – just before entering Bog Walk Gorge from the Spanish Town side.
The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) told The Beacon that the deceased police officer is 27-year-old Constable Ramone Smith, who was attached to the Operations Branch.
He is a resident of Linstead, St Catherine.
The JCF, up to publication time, said the deceased woman was still unidentified.
It stated that, about 3:30AM, both persons were travelling in a white Nissan AD Wagon, which collided with a motor truck.
Smith, who is pictured above, was the driver.
The JCF noted that investigations are ongoing.
