LINSTEAD: 2 released without charge after gun find

The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) said the man and woman who were arrested in relation to a gun seized at Orangefield district in Linstead, St Catherine, have been released without charge.

The Corporate Communications Unit of the JCF told Jamaica Beacon this evening that the release of the two comes as cops continue their probe, which apparently includes a third person.

The JCF, on July 26, disclosed that the man and woman were taken into custody after police found illegal items during an operation at a premises.

The items found are a Glock 9 millimetre pistol, three magazines and 77 nine millimetre rounds of ammunition, the JCF previously said.
