Ashlee Hyman, who hails from Linstead in St Catherine, is justifiably proud.

She was successful in eight CSEC subjects, administered by the Caribbean Examination Council (CXC).

Ashlee scored the best possible grade (Grade One) in seven subjects – English A, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, French, Information Technology and Mathematics. She attained straight ‘A Profiles’ in six of those subjects – including English A and Mathematics.

The other subject that Ashlee sat is English B – in which she got a Grade Two.

The young scholar told The Beacon: “I am very proud of myself and I am happy with my results. I did the necessary preparations.”

Ashlee, who is a past-student of Ewarton Primary School and Immaculate Conception High, will further her studies in sixth form.

Thereafter, she will pursue her dream of becoming a neurosurgeon.
