Detectives in the St Catherine North Police Division are probing the death of an unidentified man, whose body with multiple stab wounds was found in a gully along the Tydixon main road, near Lluidas Vale proper.

The community of Tydixon is located in the general Lluidas Vale police area, which is under a state of public emergency.

A piece of wire was wrapped around the neck of the deceased.

The Shady Grove Police in Lluidas Vale said: “The body appears to be in the late twenties and is of brown complexion, slim build, and about 170 centimetres (5 feet 7 inches) long.”

“It was clad in a white T-shirt, short multi-coloured pants, and had multiple tattoos. One [of those tattoos] is a picture of a female on the right side of the chest. The letters IMAN are also written across the left fingers.”

According to the Shady Grove Police, passersby stumbled upon the body about 10:35am on Wednesday (April 18) and then alerted them.

The police further stated that, when they arrived at the location, they saw the body face-down beside a stone in a gully.

The discovery of the body has heightened concerns about happenings in the general Lluidas Vale police area, which has seen an increase in violent crimes since the start of the year.
