KELLITS: Wife finds dead husband, 73, hanging from tree

The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) said a farmer from Boot Lane in the Shooters area of Kellits, Clarendon, is suspected to have committed suicide yesterday, August 27.

He is Samuel Folkes, 73.

The JCF said: “Reports from the Croft’s Hill Police are that, about 2:45PM, Folkes’ wife went in search of him and found him hanging from a tree with a rope around his neck at the back of his son’s house. The police were summoned and, on their arrival, he was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.”

Investigations are continuing, the JCF added.
