Photos of the Day: Namibia re-names street to honour Marcus Garvey

Prime Minister Andrew Holness said he participated this afternoon in the renaming of a street in Klein Windhoek, Namibia, in honour of Jamaica’s national hero Marcus Garvey.

“Marcus Garvey was the pioneer of the Pan-African Movement, and advocated on behalf of all black people including Namibians. This occasion compels us to reflect, with deep pride,” said Prime Minister Holness.
