The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) said its officers seized more than 300 pounds of compressed ganja in Bog Walk, St Catherine, yesterday, September 27.

It stated that, based on reports, employees at a manufacturing company were preparing a container for export when they discovered an anomaly amongst some of the products about midday.

“They called the Narcotics Police, who subsequently searched the container and found 153 parcels of compressed ganja weighing 382 pounds,” the JCF further said.

“The drug has an estimated street value of JMD$612,000.”

No one was arrested in connection with the seizure, but the investigation is continuing, added the JCF.
