The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) said it has identified the two young men who were found murdered on separate occasions in remote sections of the Lluidas Vale police area of St Catherine.

The one who was found in a gully along the Tydixon main road on April 18 had been identified as Hyman Troy Salmon, a 25-year-old mason from Pitfour in Granville, St James.

The Shady Grove Police in Lluidas Vale initially had a difficulty identifying Salmon, whose body passers-by stumbled upon about 10:35am on the aforementioned date. He was found lying face-down with multiple stab wounds beside a stone in a gully. A piece of wire was wrapped around his neck.

Meanwhile, just over a week later, on April 28, passers-by stumbled upon the body of another young man with several gunshot wounds in a canefield along the Point Hill main road, also in the Lluidas Vale police area. It appears the man was murdered hours before he was found.

He has been identified as Ricky Ricardo Mitchell, otherwise called Ratty from a place known as Lime Tree.

No community in Lluidas Vale is called Lime Tree. The police, up to publication time, said they could not specify where it is located.
