3 men charged for gun murder of hospital worker

Detectives from Kingston East Police Division have charged three men for the August 27 murder of 46-year-old hospital worker Kevin Llewellyn and the wounding of his son at their home on Sligo Street, Kingston 16.

The accused are 28-year-old Romario Pottinger who is otherwise called ‘Brown Man’, 23-year-old Rhajay Green otherwise called ‘Suckoo’, and 23-year-old Stephen Myers who is also known as ‘Evil Boss’.

The three, who are from Kingston 16, are charged with murder, shooting with intent, and illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.

The JCF said reports are that, about 4:20am, Llewelyn and his son were asleep when armed men kicked in a door to their bedroom and opened gunfire, hitting them both.

“Pottinger and Green were arrested during a joint police/military operation on Thursday, September 13, and subsequently charged on Friday, September 21,” the JCF explained.

“Myers was arrested on Tuesday, September 18, and was charged on September 20.”

The trio will appear before the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court on Tuesday, October 2.
