16 more guns found at wharf | total reaches 26

The number of illegal guns seized during two related operations at a wharf in Kingston has climbed from 10 to 26, and the total rounds of ammunition has reached 641.

In relation to the ‘secondary operation today, the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) stated that it, in partnership with Jamaica Customs, seized sixteen 9 millimetre pistols, 16 magazines and one 9 millimetre round of ammunition.

The JCF, in relation to the seizure yesterday, had said law enforcers seized 10 guns, a silencer, and 640 rounds of ammunition at a wharf in Kingston.

It further disclosed that two women and two men were arrested for the find yesterday, adding that it believes the 10 guns were shipped from the United States.
